The Chelsea Kitchen, Larder & Walk-in Pantry

We really wanted a bespoke kitchen that would work with the interior style of the rest of our house and which reflected our personality.”
The Design
This large open plan kitchen fits the unique space like a glove. Not only is it great for socialising but it also connects the living space with the kitchen.
The bespoke design features an L-shaped main kitchen run with lower and upper cabinets in a lovely off white called Cliff White from Herringbone’s own range of paints. Along the main wall sits the walk-in pantry behind the same reeded glass as the upper cabinetry.
In the centre of the space a large dark coloured island with a Bora hob, wine fridge and storage has been fitted within perfect reach of the large larder, double ovens and microwave display. Both painted in Jersey Blue from the Herringbone Paints range.
The kitchen is our classic Westminster shaker style and works well with the family’s needs in this full house renovation. This Edwardian townhouse has great light which means that the colours chosen help create a different mood and atmosphere whenever the day/season change.

The Details: Colours, Hardware, Worktops Etc
This kitchen has extraodinary attention to detail, and is packed full of storage both visual to the eye and hidden out of sight. From the Quartz worktop flowing throughout the kitchen to the seamless sink with a lovely view. We love how anywhere you go in this kitchen you are met with a lovely surprise whilst maintaining a lovely seamless flow.
The large island is a particular great design feature as it looks neat from the living room side but offers functional storage for the family and a lovely social space for everyday living. We love how the bookshelf at the end adds even more colour and personality to the space.
The hidden storage is lovely in this kitchen, from the wine fridge in the island to the practical utility cabinet next to the stove, this kitchen packs it away in style. The Quooker tap serves as an elegant reminder of how this kitchen was designed to be lived in and used throughout the day.
The hinges and handles are polished brass throughout and works really well with the dark colour and light worktop.

The Larder
This large fitted bespoke larder encases the family’s daily utilities with a double oven and microwave. The oak carcase help showcase the skilled craftmanship and highlights the bespoke elements of the design. The cold shelf is the same Quartz as the island helping tie everything together.
The Walk-in Pantry
We love how you immidiately want to know what is behind these reeded glass doors. Open them and you’ll find a neat, functional and organised space that makes use of every square meter. Located inbetween the main kitchen run and the island it is within perfect reach making the usability and functionality of the space even more seamless.
On Working With Herringbone
