We recently completed this project in Reigate and it is nothing short of cool! Our clients chose their bespoke cabinetry from our Westminster range, a traditional shaker style and painted it in Mylands’ ‘Borough Market’ a deep, green colour. When we asked how they went about choosing their kitchens’ colour palette, our clients had this to say:

“I just chose the colour that I liked - I’ve always been drawn to greens and blues, and the rest of our house also uses that palette. The hardware was an easy choice because I have always been obsessed with copper - it was never going to be anything else.”

The couple specified from the start that they wanted to maximise on storage, in combination with the grand ceiling height of their space, William designed one of the unit runs taller than usual, with additional cabinetry over the fridge and both larders either side.

“We knew we wanted plenty of storage, a big sociable island, and to have a bold colour. Our extension was happening at the same time as we were planning the kitchen design. I wasn’t originally going to go as tall as we did, but I hadn’t anticipated just how high the ceilings in the kitchen extension ended up being, so once the units were in place, there was just too much space left above. I spoke to William and he very quickly designed and built an extra line of units for us. I’m only 5’2” though, so I won’t be using them too often - my husband will have to reach everything for me!”

This kitchen has quite an industrial feel to it. With dark units, black extractor hood and range cooker, sharp, angular handles & tap in a polished copper finish and Dekton worktops in ‘Lunar’ giving off an almost concrete appearance. “My favourite part of the kitchen is probably the colour of the units, which I like even more every time I look at them, and also the colour and texture of the Dekton surfaces. I also love the larder, which just seems to be a tardis that holds most of my pans and all of my non-fridge food.”

Inside the larders you’ll find oak shelves, drawers and spice racks. The detail in the traditional shelving is gorgeous!

We make all of your cabinetry ourselves, in our workshop just outside of Canterbury, completely bespoke to you and your project, with great care and attention to detail.

Part of why we love being bespoke, is because we are able to create unique and creative pieces for each and every project.

“I can’t fault my experience with Herringbone - I loved the designs right from the start, the kitchen was completed and delivered bang on time (which was important with a building project of the size that we were doing), the fitters (Josh then Joe) were great and very friendly, and the after-sales care has been superb. And an added bonus for me is that we’re supporting a family-owned business, rather than a big, faceless company.”
